Overview

Therapeutic Massage is an important program for the massage industry consisting of the essential knowledge and skills needed to be a successful, professional massage therapist. Massage classes provide the basics of anatomy and physiology as well as  topics including ethics, hygiene, communication skills, and body mechanics. Full-color sketches and photos clearly explain techniques and procedures. Classical massage is expanded with clinical techniques such as neuromuscular and myofascial
techniques, and lymph massage, incorporated in order to better cater to the client by following therapeutic procedures. Various career tracts are explored including massage in a spa environment and athletic massage. Our massage classes include information on massage therapy for specific people including pre-natal, infant, elder, critically ill, people with cancer, and hospice. The final section deals with business practices when it comes to finding employment or even for lucrative self-employment.
